Following in the footsteps of both my father and grandfather, I am the third generation of Marinella in the metal building business.

Prior to World War II, my grandfather, Emilio Marinella was a quarterman at the Quincy Shipyard in Massachusetts. During the war, he tried to enlist, but was deemed more valuable to the war effort as a ship builder, and his enlistment was denied. Shortly after the war he became the Shop Foreman at Priggen Steel in Roxbury, MA, where he worked for the rest of his career. Priggen Steel was the first local metal building manufacturer in New England. Priggen Steel moved to Holbrook MA in 1963, into a new facility, built by the workers.

My father Bob Marinella joined Priggen Steel in 1960. He worked there full time, as a welder/fitter, attended night school, and also held a part time job, for several years. In 1973 He was promoted to Detailer in the engineering department and later that year Priggen was bought by and operated as VP Buildings. My father was then promoted to Customer Service Manager. In 1976, a long time customer approached him about building a new metal building manufacturing facility in Taunton, MA. He acted as consultant during the building process, and was made the Plant Manager upon completion of the project. The company, Space Metal Buildings, became the leading local supplier of metal buildings in the Northeast US during his tenure. He became the District Manager for USA in 1986, and in 1996 held the same position at A&S until his retirement in 2002. 

When my father retired, I joined Inland Buildings and was awarded as District Manager of the Year in 2004. Since joining Kirby in 2006, I've received a market share award in New England, and was transferred to South Florida in 2008. We've added new builders, and seen an upswing in our market share. 2011 marks the beginning of my third year here in FL, and is forecast to have a large increase in construction volume. I look forward to serving your needs this year, and many years to come.
